It has been a busy week. I was contacted by Partridge and decided to publish a novella with them. Just today, I agreed to the cover and later, the inner text. I am a little concerned that it is quite big, these trade paperbacks as they are called. And to my surprise, it was estimated at 200 pages, which is 40 more than I assumed. Perhaps they will separate each chapter and section, making up the pages. I can’t wait to hold my own book and hope it has a nice sheeny cover that frays at the edges just like my favorite novels.
I have medium, 50/50 hopes that my book will sell lots of copies. And have been watching videos on YouTube about books that succeed.
In other news, I wrote 2 new songs, one on ukulele. Both fun pieces. I also finished the beta of fastCN.py -my Chinese speller. It doesn’t get stuck on a subset of characters like it used to. And I’m also finalizing Frag with tilt to accelerate / swerve pods and the fragging comes from the lead pod (or surviving ones). Quite an elegant solution to the chaotic gameplay it now has.
We had MiXue coffee and ice cream which was good but a little ‘commercial’ tasting. It’s cheap tho and not bad.
I bought a new Bible at BFBW, for just 15RM / $3.50, pre-loved, from 1996, and in good condition. It is my favorite one, a large print NLT with soft cover. Also got a nylon strap for my Garmin E, 50RM from Damansara 3. Thanks, sister for the discount. Now I look more tactical.
I will still be using my CCB with its leatherette case for traveling with but mostly will read from the NLT.

Later we see John’s Apocalypse / Revelations talk of the final week of Daniel. And we are moved to see it come ‘soon’ but it is yet to. Even so, the dwelling of God shall thereby, be with men on earth and worship from the nations at Jerusalem built anew will be required of them.
So is Jesus the Son of God? He came, he taught, we couldn’t follow, we misrepresented him as God, he disappeared after ‘conquering death’ and everyone worshiped his ‘image’ -who cheated death and became as God.
This parallels the Antichrist’s rise to power, and that is something that has to happen. Like Itzhak and Ismael. Who was sacrificed on the tinder -as commanded by Yahweh?
The life of Jesus and the religion He left behind are the same in many ways. And they are the same because of Philip-Peter-Judas, a trait that runs thru each and every one of us, therefore we need a savior -the Savior perhaps?
So next time you see someone say Jesus is the Messiah. Think what it means. It means something once thought lost in the hazy history of the Jews. In those troubled times of Empire so brutal. In those days where everything was hard fought and turned on its head during the Dark Ages, brought to life again under the auspices of Moslem scholars and scientists. It is the same way now as it was before.
Jesus, we love you. The whole world loves you. You don’t need followers. You are our friend, our ‘elder brother’.

I need to explain that the apostles were, in some way connected or chosen for a purpose. And the fact is they represent our basic humanly principles as well as our higher godly gifts. Yes, we all have “Philip - Peter - Judas” as well as any combination / number of others. It is an old theory from way back.
Peter the steady rock is a doubter. Philip, friendly and graceful mingled with everyone, even the Sanhedrin. Judas, of course is our dark, remorseful side. It is folly to think such a man of 3 persuasions does not need salvation of a sort, divine hopefully. These days we do it all ourselves and end up worshiping an image of Christ long departed, with our lips, in futility, hoping for a sign of Kingdom come when Kingdom is within us -and the key is not bowing to the graven mental / emotional image of the cross, but in releasing ourselves from the cage of this ‘trinity’ by righteous action. Thus we read the gospels and later the letters of the apostles.

Past 12am, it’s time to post my weekly journal entry. Just worked out and am feeling good. No time to code much tonight despite the black coffee I downed earlier. Telepathy is under control for once in so many decades. There are laws:

I was re-reading my novella and found myself thinking about who would buy it or even be enticed to flip thru it. The fact that it concerns the US-China conflict of interests, the fact that it contains characters of western and eastern origin, even mixed, has some science, some romance, a bit of the surreal and the humorous, some quotable quotes -yea maybe certain people would pick it up, read and buy it, once or twice a week. I must say mine stands apart from many other cover designs and blurbs out there that are formulaic / wordy.
